Kernel update erase Vmware tools

Hi All,


I've got VMWareTools installed and it works a treat. My problem is sometimes after a Kernel update, I tend to loose my
share folders and have to re-install vmware tools from scratch.




Is there a way to set vmware tools up such that kernel update won't erase my shared folders?
