NetworkManager will not save passwords, KDE control module error "Did not receive a reply".

Greetings,
First off, thank you for any suggestions you might have regarding my difficulty.
I am using a Lenovo ideapad Z570 and I have a dual boot of OpenSuse 12.3 and Debian. The wireless works fine on my Debian OS, however it is not functioning properly on Opensuse.
I am able to see and connect to networks, however it seems that NetworkManager is not saving any of my passwords or connecting automatically to any networks. I know it's not specific to the router. When I open "Manage Connections" all of the networks I connect to are still listed and the network I'm interested in connecting to lists itself as 'connected'. When I select the network I'm 'connected' to and attempt to go into settings I get an error:

"Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken."

I cannot simply type in the password again, I have to delete the network from my list and then try to reconnect again. It will prompt me for a password and then work fine. However once the connection is lost again, I will have to go through this procedure again. I tried to check the NetworkManager logs, but it seems they are just for the connections themselves, not for the configuration of the program. I also attempted to re-install NetworkManager, unfortunately after the re-install I still have the same issues (however, I couldn't seem to make a clean install because once the program was up and running again it still listed all of the old networks that were stored beforehand).

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for me.
Cheers
