My desktop disappears in KDE

Hi I've got KDE 4.13.2 in Tumbleweed.

I have it set to the old fashioned "show a folder" for which I chose the Desktop folder.

But when I boot, the desktop is blank, and I have to undo and redo the KDE "show a folder" --> Desktop routine each time, to get the icons back.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?
