I have a Logitech game controller (a Rumblepad 2, to be more exact), and it works fine with mplayer. In fact, I have configured mplayer so that I can control it with the gamepad.
However, if I plug in an Xbox 360 controller, mplayer goes haywire. It stops responding to any keyboard commands (the only way to stop it is with ctrl-c), and it keeps spamming the following message:
"Joystick: warning init event, we have lost sync with driver."
How to fix this? (I don't even need to be able to control mplayer with it. I just want to not have to unplug the controller every time I want to start mplayer.)
