Hello everyone!
I'm facing a problem regarding the service startup order using chkconfig. I've tested on openSUSE 13.1 and SLES 11 SP3 with the following configuration:
#!/bin/sh
# /etc/init.d/minidlswd
##### BEGIN INIT INFO
# Provides: minidlswd
# Default-Start: 3 5
# Required-Start: $ALL
# Required-Stop:
# Short-Description: Starts the Mini DLS Watch Dog
# Description: This file is used to start the daemon and should be placed in /etc/init.d
### END INIT INFO
On SLES 11 SP3 the configuration is set pretty well and achieved what I wanted:
minidls:/tmp/minidls-server-installer/minidls-java # find /etc/init.d/ -name "*m
/etc/init.d/minidlswd
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/S13minidlswd
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/K01minidlswd
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/S13minidlswd
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/K01minidlswd
minidls:/tmp/minidls-server-installer/minidls-java # find /etc/init.d/ -name "*m
/etc/init.d/rc4.d/S10mysql.server
/etc/init.d/rc4.d/K03mysql.server
/etc/init.d/rc2.d/S10mysql.server
/etc/init.d/rc2.d/K03mysql.server
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/S10mysql.server
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/K03mysql.server
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/S10mysql.server
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/K03mysql.server
/etc/init.d/mysql.server
minidls:/tmp/minidls-server-installer/minidls-java # find /etc/init.d/ -name "*n
/etc/init.d/ntp
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/K04ntp
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/S08ntp
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/K04ntp
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/S08ntp
On openSUSE 13.1 all the services has the same priority order:
mdos:~ # find /etc/init.d/ -name "*minidlswd*"
/etc/init.d/rc2.d/K50minidlswd
/etc/init.d/rc2.d/S50minidlswd
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/K50minidlswd
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/S50minidlswd
/etc/init.d/minidlswd
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/K50minidlswd
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/S50minidlswd
mdos:~ # find /etc/init.d/ -name "*mysql*"
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/S50mysql
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/K50mysql
/etc/init.d/mysql
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/S50mysql
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/K50mysql
mdos:~ # find /etc/init.d/ -name "*ntp*"
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/K50ntp
/etc/init.d/rc3.d/S50ntp
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/K50ntp
/etc/init.d/rc5.d/S50ntp
/etc/init.d/ntp
Is this an issue or I need to do different on openSUSE 13.1?
Obs.: I've inserted others services like NPT and MYSQL just to help in the troubleshooting.
