Need to replace audio on brief MP4 video

I have no experience with video editing, so I'm in way over my head here. Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.

I have a very brief (40 seconds) video presentation prepared as an MP4 file, but the audio narration is out of date and must be replaced. The new Audio is presently saved as an aup file, so I can export it in other audio formats, but I have not a clue how to delete the existing audio and insert this new track.

I've done a number of searches here and with Google, but I ended up far more confused than informed. I just have to do this one simple (I hope) task, then I'm unlikely to deal with any more video editing for a long time. A howto would be most helpful.
