Hi to all.
A friend of mine gave me a Toshiba A500 to clean up, put new thermal paste etc, and install OpenSUSE 13.1 in it, the thing is, the temperature plasma widget does not show the temp of the cpu cores.
It´s a quad core and in the preferences only shows "core0" and "core2".
I searched for "lmsensors" in Software Management" to see if it was installed but nothing shows. Strange ´cause in my HP it works flawlessly from the start.
Also strange that my wife´s Toshiba A300 (DualCore) has the same problem...
Other thing with my friend´s A500 is that the fan suddenly starts to spin faster for a few seconds (10 to 15sec) in an idle system! In short, it boots up, stays idle and then reacts like its heating up or being used.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the help.
