When I boot the 13.1-DVD iso image dd'ed on USB stick[1] in EFI mode, I see a completely different intial screen which doesn't allow me to choose text mode installation (only "installation", "rescue mode" and media verification) - this isn't mentioned in any official installation guide (both reference and quick start) which has a hugh time wasting potential and is just sadist by the guide authors (who must have some insight in what they are writing about and maybe even tested their instructions...)!! Is there any way to install OpenSUSE 13.1 in EFI in text mode?
