I have always used to install Gnome as my default desktop and just added the KDE pattern during the initial installation. It has always worked flawlessly afterwards to switch and logon to KDE from the GDM login menu over every openSUSE generation (and several SUSE/SLED as well).
Since I upgraded my 13.1 and Tumbleweed systems to Factory ('zypper dup') Gnome works ok, but I have had no success to sign into a workable KDE from GDM. The logon attemps hang already on a green (Gnome) background with a small black widget and a disk symbol in the middle.
I haven't tried a fresh new Factory installation from a iso snapshot.
Other experiences with this behaviour in Factory ?
