I have 15.2 installed and have been running mate de for a long time. i installed kde plasma to investigate that de. Now, while logged back onto mate, kde wallet keeps asking for passwords for apps that never needed a password before.
How can kde apps interfere with operation while logged in on mate?
After a while, I did delete all the kdewallet files through yast (while on kde login) and interference seems to have gone away. Both kde and mate as well as gnome cohabitate together and I can freely switch from on to the other but my question still remains.

Hi.
I am testing Active Directory integration with Leap 15.2.
I have followed this guide:
https://doc.opensuse.org/documentati...agement-enroll
and in particular the section:
7.3.2 Joining Active Directory Using User Logon Management
When I try to add a new domain a pop-up windows with "Active Directory enrollment" comes out.
All fields are correctly popolated but workgroup field is blank and if I try to go on and insert username and password of ad domain admin I obtain the following error:
failed to join domain: invalid configuration ("workgroup" set to '', should be MADDANT). "MADDANT" is my correct realm.
But the question is: where can I specify the workgroup settings in user logon management? I did not found it.

I'm receiving a message "This mail is sent using the PHP mail function"
every now and then. I didn't know where it was originated. I have cheked the message source and it says it is originated from
X-PHP-Originating-Script: 500:sendmail.php
So I did
Code:
tutatis:~ # find / -name *sendmail.php
And I found a sendmail.php in my public_html directory.
So I almost sure it is the only responsible of these emails (I have changed the message in this script to check for sure).
The question is: when does this run and why just only from time to time?
maybe when any robot search my site and enter my public_html ?
best regards

Hello,
on podman.io (
https://podman.io/getting-started/installation) they suggest to use a repo on download.opensuse.org.
However, there are errors in the repo.
E.g. this key is missing:
https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/kubic:/libcontainers:/stable/CentOS_8/repodata/repomd.xml.key
and this RPM: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/kubic:/libcontainers:/stable/CentOS_8/aarch64/catatonit-debuginfo-0.1.5-1.el8.aarch64.rpm
Unfortunately I do not have access to bugzilla.opensuse.org to report the issue there.
Do you know how to report it?

Hello,
I will get my laptop with openSUSE Leap 15.2 installed in a few days!
But I understood that they have put :
username = admin and password = root - I simply forgot to species this!
And I wrote these questions and sent them to a friend to enter in my profile and publish them here, because all I have now is my ancient smartphone!
1) What is the procedure change them? And when can I do this: only on the first log-in or also after that?
2) How can I fill-in the IP address and all the relevant data if it turns out that I need to?
3) What commands should I use in both cases?
Thank you in advance for your answers!

I've installed Leap 15.2 on an
HP Pavillion x360. Everything seems to work fine on the freshly installed system. However, as soon as I update my packages, my keyboard stops working.
I know it's not a hardware issue as the keyboard works in a snapshot taken before the update. The problem seems to occur sometime after boot, as the keyboard works in the BIOS, as well as in the GRUB menu and in the prompt that asks me for my encryption passcode.
I had a previous installation of Linux Mint on the laptop, and there, the keyboard
and the touchpad broke after I did a system upgrade from Mint 19.3 to Mint 20. It doesn't
seem to be a kernel issue, as the problem persists on a Debian 10 Live KDE environment which had a kernel version of 4.19 IIRC.

I have had openSusse leap 15.2 installed on my laptop one day ago. But the people that installed it, put as a username: user and as a password: root - they are about the superuser, right?
I have been already told in this forum, that I can change and create new profiles via YaST, but when can I use YaST - only after the first log in.
My question actually is - can I change the superuser username and password with the first log in and if I can - what is the procedure?
Thank you very much in advance for your answers!

Hello,
I was trying to install a recent version of the Scite editor through the experimental packages, but I got the following error:
Code:
Nothing provides libm.so.6 (GLIBC_2.29)(64bit) needed by scite-4.3.3
Conflict resolution:
1: do not install scite
2: break by ignorig dependencies
From what I can tell here, I will not be able to use this version without upgrading to a newer system (which is not available yet), or choose f.e. Tumbleweed?
Am I correct, or is there another way to install it?
Thanks!

I've a new installation of Leap 15.2. I subsequently installed Clementine and it works, but the tray icon is behaving improperly.
When doing a mouse-over the tray icon pops up a window that seems to display raw formatting code. The status information (artist, track, etc.) is contained in the displayed code, so the communication is fine, but the interpreter seems to be offline or broken.
Any suggestions to fix this?

I haven't updated my system in a while now, because the latest wireless driver is only built for kernel 5.7 and not for 5.8. I tried commenting on the package since it seems to have been solved upstream a while ago:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/s...tory/rtl8812au
But it's still not getting updated and rebuilt. Are there any developers here who can update the driver from upstream so it builds again?

I did enable "USERGROUPS_ENAB yes" in /etc/login.defs after creating the user. If I try to add the group manually with
Code:

I get the error

There is a line with GROUPADD_CMD in login.defs.

I just checked and installed the updates available today as of 1pm CST for tumbleweed running kde and found the following. I have a laptop with a external monitor, the laptop is the primary screen and marked as such in the display config. Everything has been fine until today's update, upon a reboot the desktop would not boot correctly. The spinning icon when suse boots was stuck kinda between the two screens when it's usually on the laptop screen. After things booted neither screen was usable as the extended screen showed a piece of the lock screen while it's not locked and a piece of the normal background. The laptop screen or primary screen showed some of it's normal background but not all of it as some of it was on the extended screen. The kde menu bar / launcher ..whatever was not on either screen. I rolled back to a snapshot for now but wanted to report this and see if others have this issue. While I'm running a nvidia card with the nvidia drivers I don't think this is a issue as I have the driver and the kernel pinned since I'm waiting on the new nvidia drivers to support the new kernel that dropped a few weeks ago. I've updated several times since then with zero issue. There is a error on booting before the suse splash screen that says something like error on installing kernel variables or something...there's a post on this from somebody else but I've not seen anybody report the issue I'm having. Thanks guys. I think it's a issue with kde....
