dirsrv + leap 15.1

Доброго времени суток.
Никто не сталктвался с тем, что настраиваешь dirsrv, заносишь группы, пользователей, всё равботает прекрасно, и тут на тебе - ребут, а после него уже не запускается. Всё, что пишет сервис - я запустился. Порты не занимает, ничего.
Шибко некогда эксперементировать, что с ним. Единственный действенный вариант его оживить - грохнуть папку в /etc/dirsrv/ и запустить снова setup-ds.pl, скормить снова все .ldif. Неудобняк.

TUMBLEWEED linphone benötigt libmediastreamer_base.so.10 wird nirgends zur Verfügung gestellt

Ich möchte eine SIP/VOIP Lösung auf meinem (frisch aktualisiertem) Tumbleweed System installieren. Yast bietet linphone an, aber beim Versuch es zu installieren, kommt die oben genannte Fehlermeldung. Ich konnte die benötigte Bibliothek auch nirgends finden. Hat jemand eine Lösung oder einen Vorschlag für ein anderes funktionierendes Produkt?

LEAP 15.1 Microphone not working on kernel 5.5.9

Hey,
I have a HP zbook with kernel-stable 5.5.9. Was able to make the sound work after finding https://superuser.com/questions/1509...intel-hd-audio. Unfortunately, the mic is still not working. In the sound settings I have nothing there. I get the following output

TUMBLEWEED pgAdmin4 startet nicht mehr

Hallo zusammen,
nach kürzlichem Update auf pgAdmin 4.19 und python 3.8 startet pgAdmin nicht kehr. Ich bekomme folgende Fehlermeldung:

ImportError: cannot import name 'default_render_json' from 'flask_security.views' (/usr/lib/python3.8/site-packages/flask_security/views.py)

Bin ich allein?

TUMBLEWEED Mapping external IP's to internal ones

I have got myself a bit lost - this is what I want to do ... ( IP's changes to protect the innocent )

I have a box with 2 network cards
the internal interface is 1.2.3.254
the external interface is 5.6.7.8

inside there are 1000 or so private IP addresses
outside I have 3 public IP addresses

at the moment it is set up as a router with the firewall on
internal machines can surf Ok and if I use 'test my IP' they all
show up as 5.6.7.8 which is what I expect and everything seems OK

Now I want to make my LDAP server visible to another user on the Internet
so I essentially need to map 5.6.7.9 to 1.2.3.4 so the Internet company think
they are talking to 5.6.7.9 when in actual fact they are talking to the LDAP
server inside

Idiots guide please :-)

LEAP 15.1 Festplattenkonfiguration Problem

Hi, ich könnte das Installations medium ohne Probleme booten. Der Installer läuft einwandfrei, bis es zum Punkt Festplatte kommt.

Hier bekomme ich eine sehr kryptische Fehlermeldung:

Internal Error.
Caller: /mounts/mp_0007/ist/Share/Yast2/lieb/y2stirage/free_disk_space.rb:108:in 'disk_name'

Details: undefined Method 'name' die Nil:NilClass

Auf der Festplatte ist bereits eine Windows und Eine Hackintosh Installation, die sich super von der EFI Partition starten lassen. Ich hatte auch schon Linux Mint parallel installiert, was mir aber zu rudimentär war. Ich habe die mint Swap und und die ext4 Partition gelöscht, genug speicherplatz für Leap 15.1 ist also da.

Wenn ich den Fehler ignoriere wird der gesamte Festplatten Part übersprungen, ich komme als nicht ins Partitionierungs Tool um mountpunkte etc. festzulegen.

Irgendwelche Ideen?

LEAP 15.1 OpenSuse won't boot in OracleVM

Hey guys,
so I tried to install OpenSuse in a virtual machine in OracleVM but get a weird error that won't disappear no matter what I try. I even tried reinstalling OpenSuse multiple times with no luck. Can anybody help?

LEAP 15.1 Question about YaST2-fonts package

Hello all! :)

With Leap 15.1 YaST2-fonts package is not included and not officially supported but I still need it for system-wide fonts configuration, in particular because of appearance uniformity. In this module I can set the preferred fonts and the settings apply for all applications including SDDM, where with the tools provided by KDE this does not happen. Also I need to set the hinting style and the antialiasing settings because not all applications respect the ones set with the DE's tools.
My question is: how can I do these settings manually without the need of the module? For example which configuration files I need to modify or create and where?

Which printer brand works best with openSUSE Tumbleweed(Linux).
Need a new inkjet printer with scanner and fax - something that is plug and play on Linux.

TUMBLEWEED Split Tunnel via Strongswan Networkmanager

Hello all,

I'm finding myself working remotely as of late (shock right?) and I'm having issues with local access while using my VPN connection.

Current Tumbleweed + NetworkManger-strongswan 1.4.5-2.1
VPN: IKEv2

The VPN itself works great, however when I connect I lose local resource access/internet. It would appear NetworkManger-strongswan is adding routes automatically (ip xfrm policy show) to force all traffic over the VPN. The other end of my VPN does not allow this extra traffic and I only need access to a single resource at the end of the tunnel anyway while retaining my local access and internet connection.

Is there anyway to split the tunnel and continue using NetworkManger-strongswan? It is clean, convenient and the taskbar status icon is very helpful (vs bringing things up and down in the terminal).

My laptop keeps having to reconnect to wireless. I have to enter the password to the AP everytime. New install.
I have other devices on the same AP and they have no problem.
I'm bewildered.

LEAP 15.1 Moving duplicate files

I have a bunch of duplicates in my Music directory. They are intentional duplicates.
I would like to move all duplicates to another directory to see if I want to rename them or delete some of them.

I know how to use ‘fdupes’ to find them, and so far trying to recursively move them has not worked.
Code:
fdupes —delete —recursive “$MusicDupes”
only returns an error ‘could not chdir to’ with no directory listed.

And thought I could bypass the strategy shown there.

so once again , I come seeking help and guidance from this forum.

IMO, there should be an easy(ier) way to do that without a lot of fiddling around, I May Be Wrong! Again!

LEAP 15.1 Configure firewall with iptables

Hello everyone,

first my setup:

I have my server connected to my router and forwarded a port on which i want to listen my service on so it is accesible from outside of my network.

i just started a little homeserver for the first time and after some struggle with installing ubuntu i chose to use openSUSE instead. However
as i tried to run a server program (Minecraft) i could not connect to the server from outside so i first troubleshot using netcat
and also with netcat i could not create a connection fom my local mashines even.
After some search i found out about iptables where in fact were no rules set for the connections i attempted to try so i created the corresponding rules
and finally i could connect to my server from inside and outside of the server.
Also i found out that those changes are not persistent over restarts of the server and i started searching for a solution again.
I found some threads describing the usage of iptables-save and iptables-restore but unfortunately i could not find an automated way which demands no user action
for restoring the rules on startup. I then stumbled upon an online article which decriped the usage of yast2 to configure the firewall. In the article the author stated "the interface is pretty much
self explanatory". Unfortunately in my case it was not honestly. Also there is no file called SuSEfirewall2 under /etc/sysconfig/ which i could edit as described in the article and under and in the SuSE wiki.
So i tried disabling the firewall and configure it purely trough iptables but that also did not work as on every restart the rules are completely empty and need to be restored again vira iptables-restore.

Now i am a bit frustrated and decided to ask in this forum for a solution to my problem. How do i configure my firewall to accept incoming connections which are persistent over restarts?

LEAP 15.1 KDE : Fully create new user from admin script (graphical environment).

Hello.

When creating a new user (with administrative rights) :
Code:
    useradd --create-home --comment "$WORK_USER" "$WORK_USER"
    passwd "$WORK_USER"
    usermod -aG vboxusers "$WORK_USER"
At this step, only /etc/skel is copied to user's home.
.config, .local, .... are not yet installed.
Initialization is finished by script(s) when the user log for the first time.
Currently I run two scripts.
After running the first script, I log out , then I log in as the new user so the user configuration complete, then log out, then log in as myself.
Then I run the second script to finished user configuration.

Is there a way to run the kde first log in script as the new user without quitting my script ?

Any help is welcome.

OBS Debian Unstable "repository is broken"

Hello, I use the public OBS for buliding Debian Unstable packages. I get an error message, "The repository is broken, build or publish not possible" for my x86_64 and i586 repos, which are the only architectures I use. Can you help me get builds working again?

I barely know how to troubleshoot the OBS, so I need help even finding details about the problem.

https://build.opensuse.org/packages/...nstable/x86_64 shows that "libglib2.0-0" is the build reason. I could see that somehow being a problem. That's an important library. And that was from a few days ago, which is possibly when this issue started.

LEAP 15.2 No display with AMD RX580 card

Hello,
I'm trying to install my new server with LEAP 15.2 :
  • Supermicro H11SSl-I motherboard with AMD EPYC 7402P processor ans 128 GB memory
  • Asus RX580 Dual Series 8 GB RAM
  • 2x1 TB SSD in RAID 1
  • The BIOS is up to date


This MB has an integrated video (AST2500) with VGA output and in the BIOS I defined the primary video output as external card. It's OK : the BIOS is displayed with the RX580.

When I try to install LEAP with network USB Key, I only can see the beginning : grub menu, then only two lines and the display becomes black. I have to switch to the internal VGA port to continue installation.
The RX580 is detected and all seems OK but no display with it. I tested two DVI cables, two monitors and even a DisplayPort connection.
At reboot I can only see grub, then the splash Opensuse screen for a few seconds, then black screen and I must switch to VGA port.

I tested Tumbleweed installation : same problem.

I tested nomodeset or amdgpu.dc=0 parameters for grub, no result.

I tested live CD LEAP and Ubuntu 19.10 : same problem.

i tested the last AMD driver (19.50) : same problem.

I don't see any error in dmesg and Xorg.log.
